Sew Home in the Kitchen tour: Day 6
Kay Whitt of Sew Serendipity, is rounding out our tour for Sew Home in the Kitchen! Kay is such a talented and beautiful person. I was so excited when she hopped on this tour train! Kay made the Keep it Cool Coasters and I love how she added her own twist to them to make them more "hers". Here is what she said about sewing with Sew Home in the Kitchen.
"Hey Everyone! I wanted to share a new book that a dear friend, Abigail Butler, has just released called Sew Home in the Kitchen! This is a delightful book packed with quick to sew insulated projects, perfect for a beginner or seasoned sewer. There are even recipes included that Abigail has shared from her family favorites.
The book is well laid out with quality photography, clear illustrations, and easy to understand instructional steps. Abigail's wonderful personality shines through in each project description, making this a great book from start to finish.
I made the Keep-It-Cool Coasters. They were a cinch to stitch up and I know I will use them for hot and cold drinks alike, especially beside my computer. These would be a perfect project for using up scraps. You could even piece them for a scrappy effect. I think they would make a lovely gift for someone getting their first home or a great accompaniment to a gift of tea, coffee, or hot chocolate. I added a bit more quilting to mine because I always have to put my own stamp on anything I make...LOL!
I highly recommend this book! Hop on over to Abigail's Etsy shop and pick up your copy today. It would make a lovely gift for anyone who enjoys sewing as well. To celebrate the release of her new book, she is offering a coupon code for a generous 40% off any item in her shop! Use the code TOUR2 when you check out.
Here's the link to her book and shop! https://www.etsy.com/.../sew-home-in-the-kitchen-18...
Hop over to Facebook and like her page! Such cute, creative things constantly happening there. Love you Kay! Thank you so much for participating!
And a huge thank you to all the ladies who reviewed Sew Home in the Kitchen this week. It was so much fun to see what all of you made and what exactly you thought about it. Much love!
